Who, What, Why, Where, When?

Who?

OPEN 2018 is organised by The Open Co-op, specifically Oliver Sylvester Bradley and Thomas Heiser but
with the help of many other contributors, partnerssupporters and volunteers.

What?

OPEN 2018 is the UK’s only multi-day conference dedicated to platform coops and collaborative technology.
It’s a place to for connections to be made, ideas to collide and for work to be done.

Why?

With over 400 attendees from the private sector, existing and aspiring co-operatives, open source and technology developers, researchers, press and academia, OPEN 2018 provides a chance to learn, discuss and develop valuable relationships within the co-operative economy. With practical guidance on starting-up, hands on workshops about developing decentralised organisations and advice on governance and ownership structures to develop more inclusive and participatory organisations OPEN 2018 will provide valuable lessons for projects and organisations of all sizes.

OPEN 2018 will take place at Conway Hall in central London. The address is:

Some of the sessions, including the networking drinks, will be held downstairs at the Square Pig on the opposite corner of Red Lion Square.

When?

OPEN 2018 takes place from 8.30am – 5pm on the 26 to the 27 July 2018. Timings for each day are listed in the Programme.

Networking drinks will be held at the Square Pig after 5pm on the first day.
